Shedding unwanted things and expectations clears space for growth, financial security, joy and yes, power.

You’re probably not thinking about cleaning out your closet as a power move.
But even the smallest beginning tells the universe you’re ready. Ready to clear out what no longer serves you so you can joyfully live the next chapter of your life.
That’s why I started Downsizeable: to show you that not only can you own less, design your own legacy and live joyfully, but that the journey from here to there can be packed with opportunity and meaning.
My Story
I’ve moved 28 times (I counted) since my very first move from France to the U.S. as a baby. Many of those were pivotal moves requiring strategic downsizing when my life or my career took a turn.
I’m one of those weirdos who kinda likes moving—you get to sort through your stuff to decide what makes the cut for that next chapter. Who will you be next? What will you need vs. what can you let go?
My friends have called on me for years for everything from deep chats on the merits of moving from city to country (and vice versa) to my moving checklists to my sticker system for dealing with complex estates.
Meanwhile, I worked my way up the global consulting firm ladder, moving around the U.S. a bit until finally opting out of the boy’s club to build my own businesses (including one I sold to Arthur Anderson for seven figures). It was (mostly) fun with some roller coaster rides in between that taught me some mad skills about resilience and seizing joy.
But it wasn’t until my 15+ years serving entrepreneurial consultants as their business coach that I recognized a pattern. As they hit their 50’s and 60’s, they started re-thinking their businesses—how could they transition to fewer hours and eventually (but not always) retire?
It was not only a fascinating and ultimately joyful transition that I guided them through, but it brought up some big questions about their home life as well.

It was not only a fascinating and ultimately joyful transition that I guided them through, but it brought up some big questions about their home life as well.
Where would they live? How would they live? How would couples navigate their new relationship when one or both changed their work life? Did they both envision the same future? What was financially possible and could they find a new definition of joy?
That side of the equation fascinated me more and more. And then I started to realize that business coaching without those deep personal questions wasn’t enough. That I could use my unique set of skills, tools and perspectives to help professional women and couples in a new way.
A way that would make pulling the ripcord toward a joyful next chapter less stressful and more meaningful, whether partnered or solo. A way that isn’t about color coding your books or making every item in your pantry look like a work of art (although hey if that’s your thing, go for it!).
Whether your dream is as simple as breathing easier in your current space or as complex as moving countries, I’d be delighted to put my experience, wisdom and passion to work for you. Check out the options to work with me here and reach out here if you have questions.
Here's to living your most joyful life!
